Cocktail Making Hen Party

Cocktail Making Hen Party
Looking for the perfect hen party activity? We have just the one for you! Keep reading to find out why a Cocktail Making Hen Party will always be a winner with guests.
By far the most popular, cocktail making is a classic hen party activity that the hens and bride-to-be are sure to love. It is a great hen party activity because it is something that everyone can do and everyone will enjoy. This activity also has the added benefit of being hosted indoors. Rain or shine you can always make a cocktail đ Whether you want to show off your skills, learn a few tricks or just have a drink, this is the activity you need to try.

Time to create
The Fancy Hen team recently visited Electric in Cork City to attend a cocktail making class and of course sample some tasty drinks! The bar has a fab retro feel that we loved. It has a bar upstairs and downstairs with a large restaurant area upstairs also. When we arrived we were introduced to Colm, our bar man for the night. We were taken to a small seating area just off the bar where our class took place. This was the perfect little spot for our group to enjoy the class away from the crowd. You are free to choose from a wide variety of cocktails during the class. These include everything from Cosmopolitans, Mojitos to Sex On The Beach. Whatever takes your fancy, you can create! The group decided to try a Cosmopolitan first, of course! We watched Colm demonstrate how to make the drink before giving it a go ourselves. We added each ingredient, with maybe a little more vodka than recommended, and started to shake! This was our favourite part! It was a proud moment to pour our creations into the stunning cocktail glasses at Electric. They also tasted amazing, if we say so ourselves đ

Make it your own
As well as creating our own masterpiece, the barman whipped up some tasters for everyone to try. This was a great chance to sample some cocktails that we may not normally try. You might find your new signature cocktail ladies! Not only can you make a classic cocktail but you even get the chance to create your very own bespoke drink. With help from the barman we learned what ingredients go well together. From there we created our very own cocktail. Some tasted better than others! A fun idea would be to name your cocktail after yourself or the bride-to-be. We think ‘The Naughty Nora’ has a good ring to it!

This activity would be a great way to warm up before the night ahead. Enjoy creating a delicious drink while having fun with the girls.
