Decor
For decor, pick your favourite scene in the movie and recreate that set. A nice idea would be to create your own drive-in. This can be done by making a ‘drive-in’ sign using cardboard and lining up chairs to face the television. Decorate these chairs with homemade accessories to look like cars. Cut and paint cardboard to stick to the sides of the chairs. Draw on door handles and a number plate at the back to finish the look. Why not have the movie playing in the background? The perfect opportunity to sing and dance along to all the classics.
Dress code
Guests can dress like their favourite character for this theme. A fab idea would be for everyone to dress like the Pink Ladies. These pink jackets can usually be picked up in any costume shop. Pair these jackets with black skinny jeans or a pencil skirt and heels. The hens could also dress up as the characters. Transform into Sandy with black skinny jeans, a black off the shoulder top and red heels. Don’t forget the curls! Maybe one of the hens is more like Rizzo and could rock a black pencil skirt and shirt.
Food and drink
A Grease themed hen party has to include some classic diner food. Set up a table full of small nibbles and treats for guests to tuck into. Hamburgers, coca-cola and fries would do the trick. Milkshakes and ice cream sundaes would be the perfect treat for the hens. If the party is focusing on the drive-in theme, lay out some popcorn for everyone to grab. Pop open the wine bottle in honour of the room scene.
