If you decide to wear tan on your wedding day or hen party, it needs to be perfect right? Not too dark, not too light, no streaks…we all have a list of tanning requirements. We have also tried every single tan out there! Or is that just me?! Having tested so many, I think I have finally found the one. I have been loving the Bellamianta tan and simply had to tell you ladies all about it! Bellamianta have so many products in their range. From a gradual tanning moisturiser to shimmering dry body oil and everything in between. However, the tan product that I use and love is the Rapid Mousse tan.

What Is The Packaging Like?
This tan comes in a simple brown box with gold writing and a blue label at the end. The product itself is a white bottle with the same detail. There is an art-deco feel to the design that I love. It is chic and subtle and after all, the tan speaks for itself. Another thing I loved about the bottle was the nozzle. It dispenses the tan in small amounts so you don’t put too much on the mitt. This is great as you also save product and in turn save money. Perfect!
Does It Smell?
Thankfully it doesn’t smell. How horrible is a tan that smells ladies?! In fact, it smells quite nice. The ingredients such as Bergamot give it a gentle scent as if you were visiting a spa. It also has something called odour neutralising technology in it that masks the strong smell you would normally get from a tan. Whatever it is, it’s working.
Mousse Or Liquid?
This particular tan is a mousse. Bellamianta also sell lotions but I prefer a mousse as it is less messy and easier to blend. In the past I most definitely have poured out what I thought was a small amount of tan only to see it all over my floor…not ideal. This luckily doesn’t happen with this tan. You may have your own personal preference but if not, I would recommend trying the mousse first.
What Was The Colour Like?
I love this tan because it leaves you with a nice natural golden colour. However, the first time I used this tan my jaw dropped. The initial colour came out very dark and I was terrified of looking like Hughie from Dancing With The Stars! Although he did use Bellamianta that time too didn’t he…. Luckily, once I had showered the next day I was delighted with the final result. I was left with a natural tan that wasn’t too dark. The great thing about this tan is that you are given a chart saying how long to leave it on. For a light colour, leave on for two hours, medium colour is three hours and dark is four hours or more. I slept in this tan and the colour was perfect. Bare in mind that I am also white as a sheet!
Ready To Wear?
This tan claims to be ‘ready to wear’ which basically means you can pop it on, get dressed and head out. It apparently has a 60 second dry fast system and will continue to develop over two to four hours. Personally I would not recommend this. When I washed off the tan it turned out really nice but like I stated above it was initially quite dark. Not only was it quite dark but it came out patchy in certain areas which is not what you want when heading on a night out. I would recommend sleeping in the tan or waiting a few hours before washing it off.
How Does It Wash Out?
It washes off fairly evenly. This is so important as I have experienced other tans fading quite blotchy. Not a good look! As I said above, when initially applied it goes on slightly patchy but it definitely doesn’t wash off this way. I continued to gently exfoliate and moisturise my skin each day and the tan gradually and evenly faded. It lasted about 4 days for me but I think this depends on how often you shower.
So there you have it ladies, my honest review of the tan that is loved by the likes of Suzanne Jackson. Overall I am very happy and will continue to use it in the future. I would 100% recommend this tan to all you fancy hens heading off on a hen party or a wedding. The tan should also help hide the tiredness the morning after a few glasses of bubbly. Ideal!
