Packing for the hen party can be somewhat stressful. You want to make sure you don’t bring too much but that you have everything you need also. Who are we kidding, we always pack too much! However, below we have compiled a list of items that we believe are essentials to bring to the hen party. Keep reading to find out!
Lip Balm
Before you pop on the red lipstick, it is important to keep those lips hydrated. A great tip is to gently exfoliate your lips with a toothbrush before applying lip balm. Apply this throughout the day and while you get ready for the night out. The very last thing we like to put on is the lipstick. Our all time favorite lip balm has to be Carmex. A great idea is to apply some Lush sugar scrub onto the lips before applying the Carmex. This will ensure that your lips stay smooth and your lipstick stays put. Perfect!

Straws
Straws are essential for a hen party ladies. You don’t want to mess up your perfectly applied lipstick! Don’t opt for plain and boring straws either, this is a hen party after all! We have some fabulous straws available in our online store that would great in your drink of choice. From floral and vintage to mustache straws, you are sure to find a type you love. Not only will straws keep your lipstick in place but it will also be a cute addition to your hen party decor.

Highlighter
Ladies, the highlighter has become an essential part of our make up routine. This is no different at a hen party. In fact, it is actually even more important to get that glow for the hen party! We have two favourites when it comes to highlighters. The Inglot Sparkling Dust is a fabulous highlighter that can be used on your cheek bone, collarbone, brow bone and cupids bow. For a cheaper alternative, use the Cocoa Brown Tan Golden Goddess oil. This can be used in the same places as the Inglot highlighter but also on your legs for that extra glow. We all want to glow for our hen party don’t we?

Nail Polish
Don’t forget those hands and toes ladies. Make your nails look extra chic for the night! Work out a theme with the rest of the hens or pick a colour that compliments your outfit. There is no need to spend money getting your nails done when there are lots of amazing brands out there. The So Sue Me nail polishes come in a wide variety of shades and once applied with a clear top and bottom coat they usually last a few days. So no chipped nails at the hen party!

Fake Tan
Ladies, we don’t have the sunshine in Ireland to help with our sun kissed look unfortunately. Therefore, we need all the help we can get. This is where our beloved fake tan comes in. One of our favourites has to be Bellamianta. We like to exfoliate for up to a week before the hen party to ensure smooth application. We also like to apply this tan the night before and shower it off the next day. If you are going for a natural look, one application is fine. If you wish to go darker, two layers will have the hens thinking you just came back from Marbella!

Lashes
Not blessed with lovely long lashes? Neither were we! Fake lashes are a must-have to complete the hen party look. We love the new So Sue Me reusable lashes that come in several different styles and shapes. Lashes are a fabulous way to complete your look on a night out. As you will be taking lots of pictures day and night, why not bring a few options with you. For the day time activity pick a softer, more natural style lash. Apply full and feathery lashes for the big night out for ultra glamour. Why not?!

So make sure you pack these essentials before heading on the hen party ladies. You are sure to look and feel like a million dollars and ready to celebrate in style! Remember, if you need any help planning a chic and fancy hen party simply give us a call on
