St Patricks Day Hen Party Cocktails

Attending a hen party this St Patricks Day? Then you have to check out our favourite St Patricks Day Hen Party Cocktails. Delicious!

It’s almost time for the long weekend ladies! This is also a perfect time to have a hen party. The parade, the costumes, the atmosphere, this is a great opportunity to celebrate two special occasions in one. With so many amazing packages all over Ireland, you are sure to find a location where you can combine these two celebrations. Perfect!

St. Patrick’s Day is all about celebrating being Irish, spending time with family and friends and maybe a few cheeky pints (or cocktails in this case). Whether you are hosting a hen party or not this weekend, make sure you keep your drinks festive. To help, we have selected four tasty treats that anyone can make in the comfort of their own home. Of course all of these drinks are green and delicious. What more could you ask for?

Apple Martini

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce sour apple liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Ice cubes

Directions:

An Apple Martini is a great way to inject some class into your hen party while still staying festive. Mix the ice, vodka, apple liqueur and lemon juice together. Strain into a Martini glass and enjoy. Simple. Feel free to garnish this cocktail with a small apple slice stuck on the rim of the glass. This will add that extra touch and make the drink look amazing. Perfect for all those Instagram shots ladies!

Green Jello Shots

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces vodka
  • 1 packet of green Jello
  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • Plastic shot cups

Directions:

Jello shots can still be fancy ladies. Let us show you how. Mix the boiling water with the green jello and allow the jello to dissolve. Add the vodka and divide evenly between the cups. Place the cups in the fridge until the jello sets. This should take at least two hours so time it well before guests arrive. When the hens arrive hand out these delicious treats and enjoy.

Green Champagne

Ingredients:

  • Champagne
  • Green food colouring
  • Champagne glasses

Directions:

This unique St Patrick’s drink is very easy to make ladies. All you need to do is pour some champagne into a glass and add some green food colouring and mix until you get your desired colour. Add this very carefully so as not to ruin the taste of the drink. Once you have the prefect green, cheers the bride-to-be and take a sip.

Mojito

Ingredients:

  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 3 lime wedges
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 ounce White rum
  • 1/2 cup of soda

Directions:

Who doesn’t love a Mojito ladies? Although the colour of the drink may not be green, the fab additions such as mint leaves and lime wedges keep this cocktail looking festive. Combine the mint leaves, lime wedges and sugar into a glass. Using a muddler, gently pound these ingredients together. Add the rum and lime juice and mix. Fill the glass with ice and soda water and mix well. Garnish with more mint leaves and a lime wedge stuck on the rim of the glass. Yum.

So celebrate in style and keep those cocktails green this St Patrick’s Day. For a full run down of what’s happening all over Ireland this weekend, visit stpatricksfestival.ie. Enjoy!
