The Back Up Plan
The Back Up Plan
Planning a hen party? Then you need The Back Up Plan. A good host is always prepared for extra guests, unexpected rain and other disasters. Keep reading for some tips on how to avoid these surprises.
Mother Nature has a mind of her own. If you live in Ireland or England you may be well aware of this already. Whether you are planning an indoors or outdoors party, it is always helpful to check the weather. When the sun starts shining you can set up some chairs and take the food outside. If you know the clouds are on its way then you will be ready to take the fun inside. If you are planning an outdoors party, keep a designated room inside where the party goers will be able to make an easy transition inside without spoiling the fun.
Unfortunately this one often happens. You will meet Mary who is new in town and wanted to swing by the hen party…great. In case this happens it is always a good idea to prepare a little more food and drink. After all any leftovers can be kept for another day. Win win!
Comfort over style
If you are hosting a hen party at your home it may be a good idea to keep the guests comfort in mind. Many guests will dress to impress on this special occasion and that can include stilettos. As fashionable as these may be, after a few hours guests may become uncomfortable. Pick up some cheap flip flops and keep them in a basket where guests can grab a pair. This thoughtful touch will be appreciated by the guests and especially the bride-to-be.
If the party is moving to a restaurant or bar from your house, make sure you have the transport planned beforehand. Book the taxi well in advance and make sure that you have enough taxis for everyone. If possible, organise the transport to collect guests at the same time so the group sticks together. As we all know there is nothing worse than losing the girls on a night out.
So keep these tips in mind when planning your hen party to avoid any disasters and have a fantastic night.
